makethatstudio has curated the art direction of the new Atlante collection for the Italian high-end kitchens brand L’Ottocento. The project, is a dialogue between contemporary and classic elements in order to develop a timeless wood collection. Bring back the wood to the top and enhance the beauty and naturalness of this noble material. L’Ottocento focuses on materials and sustainability without renouncing quality and aesthetic research that combines the classic and contemporary to create new living solutions. Archetipo island is dressed with the original wooden pattern designed by the master of Italian design Ettore Sottsass for Alpi Wood. The technology of the new cooking with direct induction on the Lapitec top is combined with the elegant Atlante boiserie system that hides the kitchen with Archetipo doors. The island extends to become a snack bench, paired with the new Archetipo stools upholstered in Rubelli fabric.
Opposite to the new cupboard and wine cellar in brick red finish, the Total Home project develops with the new Atlante system in Italian walnut, the boiserie embraces completely the living room. The system leaves design freedom while using niches, bookcases and passage doors and gives the environment a refined and welcoming atmosphere.
